With the renovation of this closed well melting furnace, the following improvements have been realized:
– the enlargement of the door openings to the interior width of the furnace;
– the extension of both the burner chamber and the well chamber;
– the replacement of the electrical drive system by a hydraulic drive system;
– the improvement of the fume extraction above the doors.
